We have created workshop templates based on the book that we love and use frequently. Feel free to use in projects. If you have questions, just email us. We are here to help.
These templates have worked in many different environments, and we sparked great conversations. But also remember you can make any of these more complicated - so we focussed on the things that our research shows is making a difference. Enjoy!
Tried and tested - The STEEPLE framework
Canvas to explore the forces for change and get beyond the obvious and spoken about forces that shape a transformation.
Canvas we created to workshop the 7 questions
The 7 questions form a structured interview technique for gathering the strategic insights of various internal and external stakeholders.
Using our research a canvas for trust-building actions
In the research we found that trust-based relationships with stakeholders and end users is the most important lever for the success of digital transformations.
This simple canvas is inspired by our test of Maister's trust equation and Aristotle's three modes of persuasion. When using the canvas explore the trust building actions. If this is used in a workshop to repair trust also focus on what happened that eroded trust, why did that happen before looking at actions to rebuild the trust.
Three canvases for one download
Three helpful canvases. The first canvas is to map stakeholders, categorize them and map out objectives.
The second canvas is a detailed stakeholder analysis and the third develops a stakeholder engagement plan.
Design better trainings
Simple canvas to design trainings. If you read the book you will remember that classroom trainings are a thing of the past. Always remember no one likes click-throughs and if we need to know how we all love a good YouTube tutorial!
Plan your comms like you are a campaigner
This canvas is inspired by the innovations we found in our research. Some highly effective transformations used the OASIS framework, which comes from political campaign planning, to develop their comms. Here adopted in a simple canvas.
The Why? What? and How? of Change
The insights covered in the book show that a clear reason or vision for the change doesn't work as expected. This canvas helps to take a high-level vision and use the best aspects of the jobs-to-be-done framework to describe the benefits and disbenefits of the change.
Then we develop the two sides of the reason for change: the pot of gold, which convinces the heart; and the burning platform, which convinces the head - according to our research. Finally, we add the How and the What to the Why.
